Privacy notice
What we do with information you send us through this website — in plain terms, and no more of it than we need.
Draft. This notice is written to match how the site actually behaves, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked before launch.
Who we are
This website is run by BCK Ventures Limited, trading as Farm Meat Market, of Buskett Road, Żebbuġ, Malta. Company registration number TBC. For anything in this notice, write to Email TBC.
What we collect
If you fill in the enquiry form, we receive your business name, your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, the ranges you ticked and anything you write in the message box. Nothing else on this site asks you for information.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no tracking pixel on any page. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived server logs — the kind every web server keeps — to serve the site and defend it from attack.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use what you send to answer your enquiry and, if you become a customer, to run your account. Under the GDPR that is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us about supply, and, once you are a customer, performance of our contract with you. We do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who sees it
Enquiries arrive as email to our own staff. Our email is hosted by Microsoft and the form is delivered by our sending provider; both act on our instructions and neither uses the content for anything of their own. We do not sell or share enquiry information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become accounts are deleted after retention period TBC. Records belonging to a live account are kept for as long as the account runs, and afterwards for the period Maltese tax and food-safety law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our holding it. Write to the address above and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta.
